Interaction at interface is a key component to the dynamics of interfacial flows. The accurate description of the interface is thus significant in simulation. Many numerical schemes have been proposed for the advection and reconstruction of the interface to keep it sharp and accurate. Among them, one of the interface capturing methods, the algebraic Volume-of-Fluid (VOF) method, is popular because it enjoys mass conservation, ease of implementation and suitability for unstructured mesh. In this study, we use a moving mesh method to optimise the description of the advection in the algebraic VOF method, thus better resolution at the interface is achieved.
