Application of the Schwarz alternating method for the coupling of nonlinear solid mechanics-based and fluids-based full order models to nonlinear reduced order models

As a first step towards enabling the robust usage of reduced order models (ROMs) formed using data from full order models (FOMs) for fluid-structure interaction problems, we evaluate the Schwarz alternating method for FOM-ROM and ROM-ROM coupling in the reproductive as well as in the predictive regime on test cases involving transient solid dynamics and first-order hyperbolic PDEs.
